A bittersweet farewell

city view by a dragon boat

With a new job promotion/moving to another city been on my mind a lot lately,(which is happening in a few days) it didn’t sunk in until after I got back onto the dock after practice, that Sunday was it was my last paddle of the 2016 season as well it could be my last chance to ever paddle here on the creek that started off my paddling addiction all so many years ago. Even though I’ve trained elsewhere for 4 seasons I have always called the creek my home away from home and a lot of it had to do with the amazing paddling community that’s here in Vancouver.

Can’t wait join this new town’s paddling community.

2016 Food Challenge

Not quite the way I wanted to finish off 2015 or start 2016 with a concussion, so many of the goals I had planned got placed on the back burner.

Thankfully, I’ve been able to keep one of my goals going from last year, which is to try a new recipe at least once a month.

Just one of the recipes I’ve recently tried was a Honey Dijon Chicken with Potatoes (I skipped doing the broccoli), it’s really easy to make and I’ve made it a few times since. You can find the recipe here
