let the countdown begin!
Thank you Meredith , for reminding me its just 3 months until Ol’ Hallow’s Eve, (err Halloween is 3 months and a day away. lol). 
For those who know me Halloween is like my Christmas. I’m not into horror movies but I just 
that you can dress up and be anyone you wanna be and free candy is always good. 
I do the whole haunted front yard/house, dress up giving out candy etc. I just found out the other day that this street normally gets between 1oo-2oo kids trick or treating, that’s a lot as in the past I’d had maybe 3o kids for the last 7 or so years. Since we are new to the street, my haunted yard/house gotta be amazing this year. I’ve been looking online at some of those Halloween prop stores but I don’t really want something to freaky but then again I’m not into those very happy Halloween props either. As you don’t want to scary the lil trick or treaters but you don’t wanna bore the older crowd. 
If I can remember anything from my grade 8 tech class, I might make my own animated coffin door that opens and closes. Hmm.
For those who follow me via twitter, know most of the bs that I’ve been having to deal with since this move. The old owners only passed on 1 key that unlocks every door in the house and one mailbox key. I just don’t get how can a family of 6 live on 1 key for 8 years. Yesterday was a busy day of errands and I went around and changed all the locks, contacted Canada Post to see whats the scoop on the 1 mailbox key. Still don’t have cable in the room I want it in BUT I can watch tv in the kitchen for now.

I love Halloween as well! Last year I didn’t do much… I *better* have plans this year!

Haha I love the concept of Halloween too, dressing up is awesome…I’m still a really little kid at times. :P
I’m sad it’s not more popular over here in NZ though, it seems to get less so every year!

That’s cool you put so much thought into Halloween, to make it fun for people of all ages. I wish Australia celebrated Halloween, I reckon it would be heaps fun. There’s the occasional party and a few kids trick-or-treating, but it’s kind of in that… “hey let’s bring something new in” kind of way. No-one expects trick-or-treaters and no-one dresses up lol. How boring!
One key, man that is inconvenient. Can you not just make a copy of the mailbox and/or house keys, or is that erm… not allowed, on your contract or whatnot? I’m not sure about the logistics of moving houses anymore, since so many people rent these days and there’s so many technicalities with that lol. Good luck with that though.

At least you got the place re keyed, you don’t want any prowlers trying to revisit their home. Yikes!
Hopefully you can get another mailbox key, that would be a pain in the ass to only have one. Only having one worked for us when we were in the condo, then after a while I was the one who checked the mail on a daily basis. I can see it being more a problem for you as you are actually in a house and the mailbox I am is not just outside your door but down the road a little ways.

Ooooh I LOVE Halloween too!!! I can’t wait till I get to dress my little one up in a cute little costume. Even though he will be too young to go trick-or-treating. In my town tho, they pretty much have banded door-to-door trick-or -treating since I guess it’s gotten pretty bad since I was a kid…
