The last 11 days

Can’t believe I fly home tomorrow, it doesn’t feel like my 12 day visit is almost over . :( On the way down here [Indiana] I had to do a transfer at another airport before coming here. Only thing really interesting that happen over my 3 hour lay over was the fire alarm going on in one gate [that wasn't near me] and minutes later you had the cops, an emt and a shinny firetruck driving towards a gate (couldn’t see much after they went out of view), then an hour before my departure I noticed my gate had changed on me which was a mega piss off as its was 3 gates down from where I was once I got off the plane which was on the other side of the airport. Oi!

The funeral was small but very sweet. Kari’s grandma was surprised to see me but glad I was able to make it down. Once Kari’s friends heard I was town they all wanted to do something. So I felt very loved LOL.

We didn’t get to go on a road trip like we wanted to thanks to mother nature in the 3 states we wanted to head to but instead we saw Dark Knight, went shopping to one of my favourite stores (had to pick up my brother and Aidan something for their birthdays) :hyper:

This bites, reading one of the forums I belong to yesterday, I found out a fellow paddler passed away suddenly. Never paddled with him on a team but I always saw him at the creek. Rip Anson you will be missed. :paddle2:

Hope you have a safe trip home! I’m glad the funeral went alright. That was nice that Kari’s friends were happy to see you.

That’s good how they made you feel loved especially since you were in town for such a sad reason. Hopefully you’re trip back will go a lot smoother than the one getting there!

miss you already!! thanks for coming down and now we have another 14 months till you’re back again. I did have a chat with Will about things, I can tell he took it to heart. Lets see if he’s gonna execute the thoughts though.

I would be furious if the gates changed on me too without any notice. That is not very professional in my opinion!

Despite the bitter/sad situation that brought you to another place, you ended up making new friends. :)
