Lights and trees, oh my!

After all these years, I’m able to get myself a tree to decorate. I’m not sure if I want a real or fake and what size of tree do I want? I’m gonna hold off on shopping for tree decorations until | if I get a tree.

Though since the christmas decorations have been out in stores. I’ve been looking for simple blue lights to put around the inside of the house and maybe on the tree. But I’ve found every other colour and or those blue led lights. I just want lights were I can change the bulbs to some blue and some clear. :|

Blah, If not I’m going to get all my purple halloween lights and have it as purple and clear lights all over my tree. :blah:

    We own a little three foot white tree that we ordered off of Amazon.

    They also sell lights in every color. I myself want to buy some pink this year but I’m not sure if Jeremy will let me. :(

    My parents recently got a real mini pine tree that now sits on the coffee table. The great part is that it came with decorations and has the cutest snowperson ornament! :inlove:

    I just wish I can put up our large fake tree, but my kitten will destroy it one way or another. He has a habit of climbing up things…you get the picture…

    That must be exciting. I don’t even know what I would do if I had to get my own tree. My family has always gotten a real one so I’d probably stick with that. I love the smell and it’s what I’m used to. I can’t wait to see a picture of yours. :)

    Bryan and I are planning on getting our tree really soon – perhaps next week will be major clean up and then Saturday get our tree. :) I cant wait to start decorating!!

    My family has been using the same fake tree since we were kids. My parents never bought a real one just because they didn’t want to shop for one every year and have to throw it out afterward.

    I think most Christmas lights are now led lights? The ones we got were those which I don’t mind but I don’t like the fact that they aren’t as bright in the colours.

    Added by Kimm: More I think about it, I’m going towards a real since I grew up with them. Plus living with a bunch of cats, they might destroy a fake tree.

    My family’s been absolutely lazy the last few years and no one ever wants to help me set up the tree (it’s fake, and 7.5 feet tall… and heavy) so this year I’m just setting up the mini (it’s a foot tall) tree and completely covering it with decorations and lights.

    I love Christmas decorating! I already have some multi-colored lights in the front window. I have a fake pre-lighted tree with clear lights.
