A Unique Christmas for the ages

Hope everyone had a great christmas/holidays. This christmas was very unique for me as my extended family didn’t want to chance coming over for tree/breakfast as our subdivision was really bad and living on somewhat of a hill doesn’t help when you have a foot and a bit of snow, you know it’s bad when some SUV’s were belling out/getting stuck. Sure the main roads were bare but it’s always the side streets that are the worst. :|
I really enjoyed how small and relaxing the day was. We are having our family/friends gathering (err lunch) on Saturday as we didn’t chance doing anything last night for dinner. Being snowed in was nice. ![]()
Now that the christmas hub-bub is over for another year, I can rejoice. I grew up listening to christmas music from December 1st to December 25th but now when I hear it I just want to scream. Working in retail setting all these years, I hear the same songs over and over again. Why can’t they just spend the extra money and make a tape (or whatever) of christmas music that will loop every 16 or so hours instead of 4 hours. Plus there is only so many times you can listen to the same song being played by a different artist. :|

I really am not a fan of Christmas music in more recent years, as well. Maybe we just overdid it when we were growing up or something. Who knows. I’m glad you had a nice Christmas even though you didn’t get to see a lot of your family.
I think Canada is getting all the snow we were supposed to get. Normally by now we have tons and tons, but we actually have no snow! I’m glad you had a nice Christmas though
Ughhh, I can’t stand the snow that we’re getting in BC
I have over 2 feet of snow in my front yard right now. I hope it does rain like the forecast is claiming it will…
And I hear you on the Christmas music. I can’t stand any of that music anymore. I swear the radio keeps playing the same 10 songs over and over again, just with a different singer.
Hi Kimm! You’re a paddle boarder.. so cool!
Glad to hear your Christmas was relaxing… Merry Christmas. There certainly was a lot of snow and it definitely messed up so many people’s plans. But there is a calmness and peacefulness about staying in!
I stayed in all day today and really enjoyed it.
Oh gosh I know what you mean about christmas music. I worked as a retail manager about 4 years back and I have only just begun appreciating carols again.
My Christmas has been hectic since we’re in Cali… although fun. I can’t wait until I have my own family then I’d totally celebrate Christmas since my family doesn’t really.
