It's good you're getting out there and doing all your paddling sports etc... that's such a great way to meet people. Something always goes down and i finally say forget it and then work hates you and your personal life hates you. I moved last year from one town to another. About 45 minute difference and wow. When you live in the city, the price for homes and such are drastically high. Most people move away to save money and just commute from a further distant. Meeting new people is hard, but soon enough it becomes something in the past. :inlove: Do they have those dart boards in the pubs? Maybe challenge someone to a game? I could have sworn I drove past one, there is always using the Gym there every now and again, or perhaps joining a group - photography, yoga, or whatever... You could also just socialize with the older folks who have kids your age, as you never know their kids are decent and friendly. :) Or the friends of friends of the teenagers etc.. it's all about networking. I could have sworn you've been away from me for longer than 6 months, but in all honesty, I love your new place. It is beautiful!
