Another year older
This evening marks another anniversary of my birth. 
I kind of know what I’m getting (all paddling related) but I can’t open my presents until later tonight (grr)
The one birthday present I know I am not gonna be getting for a while (well until I fork out the cash) would be a Huki’s solo dragon boat that just came out on the market last year. Ever since I got into Outrigger in my late teens, I wanted a boat so I could take it with me as my family was scuba diving but since life/work got in the way. I haven’t had time to Dragon Boat and Outrigger anymore 
Though there are days like earlier today, were I just wanna jump into a boat and go out for a paddle when the water is calm and it’s peaceful in the middle of the afternoon when no one else is fighting over dock space.
One day for sure, but until then I can dream about owning my own boat and paddling here or moving to New Zealand or Hawaii and be in the water daily paddling, learning how to surf aka be a beach bum.

Happy belated birthday! I must say that it’s both good and bad to know what you’re getting as a presents. You know you’ll get something you want, but I must say that knowing makes me miss the excitement that you felt as a kid when you got gifts.

When you move to one of those lovely places, I will visit for sure. It must be nice to live there and be in vacation land all the time.
