A great way to start off the month

Sunday was gonna be my 1st time back in an 6man outrigger after so many years. But thanks to the Taco Bell, I had for dinner the night before (1st time in 6 months). I had to miss practice so I could wait in the doctors office for 50 freaken minutes and see him for under 3 of those minutes.
From the time I went to bed to when I woke up I had a nice reaction to what I ate. My lips were swollen about 6 times the normal size and my left hand is covered in hives. The doc said it might take a few weeks for this reaction to go away.
Googling around I found some other causes of it happening to other bloggers. From that I’ll just boycott Taco Bell and any other fast food joint from now on.
Now, I’m waiting on my allergy results, from the other week. The last one I had was about 18 years ago. Opps!

Hi There! Welcome to Paddling-Geek.Net (PGN for short).

Eww that’s nasty. It makes me not want to eat Taco Bell. I shouldn’t anyway. I hope it’s nothing serious and I’m sorry that you missed your outrigger!
Hope the allergy test results are okay…
I’ve had Taco Bell I think once in my life, I thought it was only available in the States until I saw it in a mall. =) Sometimes I think I live underneath a rock.
ugh gross! i’ve never had an allergic reaction in my life, thats because i don’t think im allergic to anything thank god! I hope you feel better and figure what u were allergic too.. taco bell probably put a worm in your food or something that place is nasty.
Oh my goodness how scary. I’m glad you are ok…. allergies suck, I’ve have the weirdest ones but thankfully not that common, and not that problematic!
Hope all is well.
Although I have no idea what an outrigger is, I’m sorry you missed it. I hope the allergy test results don’t show any new, restricting allergies because life with allergies is nasteh.
There’s no Taco Bells in Finland (and even if there was, I wouldn’t eat there), but I assume it’s… sort of Mexican food? Maybe it’s an allergic reaction to some exotic spice?
I’ve had to deal with so many allergy problems over the course of my life. I hope you get your allergy results back and are able to determine what it is…
Sorry to hear you missed your opportunity to be back in the water! Hopefully it comes soon, Kimm
Best of luck on your allergy test results. You seem to have had a bunch of outbreaks recently, or things just acting up more than normal… *hugs*
You’ll be on the water soon enough, I want to get out on the water as well … I miss it so much!
I rmb my only time breaking out in hives back in the summer of 2005… I think it was right after I ate a banana too but I’m not even allergic to bananas. In fact, I’m eating one now!
Have you been to that taco place in Lansdowne in Richmond? Damn I ALWAYS forget the name but it has the best tacos!! The owner is hilarious!
Wait…. it’s called TACOS LUIS
Ergh. That sounds gross. I hope your allergies go away soon!
Are you feeling better?
