Since its March and spring should be in the air but it’s not really, thank you mother nature for canceling today’s practice. I decided to start doing some behind the scene house keeping on this site since I’m not in the mood to do any work around the house and I’m to wide awake to head back to bed. Anyways…
- Found and removed all those broken/dead links thanks to Nile for mentioning this plugin.
- Removed a handful of unused plugins.
- Found some sweet plugins, that I’d like to use but I’m getting a critical error with them. Oh well. Fixed the problem
- Updated my links page, if you’re site isn’t listed and you think it should be, please contact me.
For the last while I was thinking of adding all of this sites old posts to WordPress. But I can’t find the CD that has all of my saved monthly entries since I started this site back in 2003. Looking at a few entries I have on my computer (not a lot anymore since my computer crashed and lost 75% of them 2 years ago) the freebie commenter I was using is not around anymore so there goes all my comments. I knew one day it was gonna happen but I just didn’t know when. It would have been interesting to see how many posts I’ve written over the years and or how many comments this site has gotten. As well to see how my writing style as changed over the years. Though my spelling still sucks!

Hi There! Welcome to Paddling-Geek.Net (PGN for short).

Sucks that the weather had your practice canceled. At least you spent the time on your site, which is always productive!
Ohhh, link me, link me *waves hand*
Spring Cleaning, huh? I need to do that at my house before I even consider doing it on LCBD. As for the plug-ins, which ones you having trouble with? And before I forget, your calendar still shows it as February.
I wish I still had all my years and years of comments. There were some great comments from people though out the years. I have my blog archives that goes back to the very beginning, Oct 2002! (6 years ago!) – I wish I still had access to my haloscan account to grab the comments, or if there was a way to back it up. (or even if the comments still exist!)
I love looking back at my old entries. Sometimes it can be a real eye opener. I’m sick of this cold weather. Bring me spring, I say!
testing some plugins
testing yet again
*because I can*

Whenever I have issues with plugins, I give up easily. ;) Maybe it’s just because I’ll be like “Ehhhh, it’s not that important!”. That being said, spring cleaning for the site is a good idea, I should consider doing that for IS.com too.

Yeah spring cleaning is probably going to take place somewhere in July at the rate we’re going here. I’m looking outside and it’s cold, rainy and gray and I’m starting to think maybe light therapy is the only thing that is going to keep me going until spring FINALLY gets here.
I am taking your post as a excuse to rant about the weather. I am not sure this was your intention but I am thankful for it. Where’s my damn SUN?!
Spring cleaning! A different kind of spring cleaning
I was planning on writing a post with some helpful tips for spring cleaning at home. I never thought about WordPress though!
I REALLY need to upgrade my version of WordPress but I’m a little worried how it will affect my site and my plugins
Don’t really know what to do….. did you have any problems upgrading?

I sometimes wonder what it would be like to look back over the entries i must have accumlated over my years of blogging.. but who knows where on the web they are… i’ve been on diaryland, livejournal, blurty… hosted on domains, had my own domains, been on free servers. I have spread my net history far & wide!
PS: thank you so so much for your DM on twitter. greatest little note I rec’d today
really nice of you to say. x
Plugin…hmm, you mean the Google Webmaster Tools instead? That is the one that talks about dead links. I think that it can be a learning experience even going through your old posts, even if to sort out your dead links and correct it. You can see if your writing style has changed and if any of your old opinions also has changed, or to see how your life has progressed.
