C4AC #2 – Where did I put that sunblock

Since the beginning of the paddling season this year and looking at pictures of Scott’s Dragon Boat team practicing in shorts in sunny LA while we were stuck under snow storm, after snow storm and after snow storm. I really wanted to move or train somewhere else.
But it’s finally part of the season, where I can’t wait to dust off the old sandals and bring out my summery clothes of long board shorts and tank tops to wear to practice as the weather finally decide to warm up.
Sure, I maybe sidelined for a while but that hasn’t stopped me from enjoying today’s amazing weather by spending a good half of the day outside lounging with my notebook (err pen and paper) and a jug of water, working out some up and coming posts for Comment for a Cause, now to spend the time to type them up but I’ll do that later this week.

I’m hoping that there’s no more snow for the area in a very long time. Snow on April 1st was a huge joke on the part of Mother Nature. The weather in April should be sunny, and a little bit of rain (but not too much).
My Saturday consisted on getting woken up at 2am… It was a great start.

My Saturday went quite well. I was off of work and as it turned out because of the snow Jeremy got to stay home as well. So we watched a movie and hung out until I had to go to bed since I have a 6 hour CPR training today. :|

I spent saturday on my kayak. 17.5 miles!! sure wish i had remembered the sunburn I got last year, before getting on the water…. ouch, again!!

my saturday was great. had lunch with a pal of mine – introduced him to the joys of vietnamese food. vietnamese coffee – yummmmmmmmmmm. then the two of us went to a toy store and spent way too much money there. finally, my 2-year-old grandson slept over.
so – did you find your sunblock? i hate the stuff but now that i’m using spray-on, it’s not so bad anymore.

My Saturday consisted of taking out the recycling and organized my closet. Not the most exciting Saturday but hey, I got things done =D!
Ooo.. Saturday. Picked my parents up from the airport as they were returning from Maui – which was interesting as I failed to make sure their flight was on time before I headed there and got to wait nearly two hours longer than I expected. But once they were home, I simply spent the day reading a book on my balcony and enjoyed the pleasant weather.
Yep.. just some simple stuff.
