I’ve always been a fan history, just looking back at the pictures of the late 1800′s early 1900 of people settling into a new area. What must have it been like to see say a city like Vancouver when it wasn’t even a town yet. The city of Vancouver just turned 123 years old this week yet I didn’t see or hear anything been talked about.
Sure the 2010 Olympics is just around the corner but it doesn’t mean that everything on the news these days gotta be Olympics this and gang war that. I wonder what gonna happen in two years when the city turns 125 years old.
Have you ever played Tourist in your own town/city and or province/state?

I’m sure people think I am a tourist when i am out and about with my camera.
Some of the local hotels have a discount for residents of the Metro Vancouver area, so you can play Tourist in your own city if you wanted to.
One of the other municipalities I think recently turned 100 too. Can’t remember which one though.

Haha, everyone always thinks I’m a tourist when I’ve got a camera out, even though I live here.
It’s fun though!

I live not even 45 minutes from New York City. I still look like a tourist there since it’s so different than what I’m used to and I don’t go often.
