C4AC #2 – Birthday Cake instead of Easter Eggs
We’re skipping having an Easter dinner this weekend as most of the family is under the weather and or out of town. Which is alright for me as I can’t stand eating a lot of chocolate anyways.
But its not gonna stop my brother and I spoiling our Mom today on her birthday, we are taking her out for dinner and then have homemade birthday cake for dessert. Happy Birthday Mom!
What’s your favourite part of Easter? The family gatherings or the chocolate or the long weekend getaways?

Hi, the name is Kimm, I'm a 30 year old Canadian who has been online since 1999. For the last 16 years my main passion has been dragon boating where I've eaten, slept and breathed it and raced all over North America.

Cute picture.
I hope you enjoy the birthday cake! I don’t really have a favorite part of Easter anymore but my Easter was still nice.
Caity’s last blog post..Easter.
Super cute photo.
And yay for birthday cake, I’d pick birthday cake over Easter eggs any day.

It seems that sore throat is getting passed around EVERYWHERE!
Hopefully everyone in your family is on their way to feeling good as new.
My favorite part of Easter is just the excuse to be happy about something more. I love that it gives families another reason to spend time together. Plus, (vegan) chocolate is always major plus.
By the way, that photo is absolutely beautiful.
Very cute photo! I don’t really have a favourite part of Easter, but if I HAD to pick it’d be the chocolate. LOL!
I hope you all are recovering from the cold as quick as possible! Speaking of chocolate, I stuffed myself silly with a Lindt bunny earlier today. Ahaha, I am going to go out tomorrow and buy me some marked down Easter product!
I hope they still have the huge Sponge Bob chocolate left….unless the little kiddies beat me to it first. *fist in air*
And happy belated birthday to your mom! She must have been thrilled to receive a homemade cake.
This Easter holiday, my grandpa got baptized and we had a huge lunch to celebrate. My family usually goes all out on different celebrations, and most of the time, it always involves some sweets. Ahaha, life is all good.
Here is a little something for you: http://oh-aspiration.org/delafter/oaaffiepresentkimm.png

Maybe a bit self serving, but I enjoy the 4 days off. Although Marnie and I went up the coast this weekend to see her parents, usually Easter is spent recharging the batteries. Even better is when the weather turns out nice (like it did today) and I can get some sunshine and enjoy the cherry blossoms busting out!

The photo is cute. I can’t tell who is in it though. None the less you can really sense the moment.
My favorite part of Easter is the gathering and getting to spoil those who I deem worthy of getting a basket.
