Back in high school, I heard about the Battle of Culloden but never really paid to much attend to it. Once you hear about one battle you hear about them all. There are way to many battles to remember them all.
Though over the weekend was looking up some information on my Dad’s Mom side of the family and found out that her 4th great grandpa (my 6th) was one of the Jacobite’s that was killed in the Battle of Culloden which ended today over 246 years ago. I’m sure other family members were also in the battle but lack of information kind of sucks. I guess I need to head to Scotland. Who wants to come with??

Wow that is definitely interesting. History can be fun when you find your place in it.

I guess any excuse is a good one to travel… If I wasn’t completely booked for the foreseeable future, I’d be on board.
Tanya sent me this fine evening,
Mike
So the real question is, how long does it take for a family members death to turn from tragedy to honor?
(and yes, the whole Tanya thing)

I’m down!
I always love finding out information on my own families history. I have distant family members who where the founders of certain political parties in Scotland. Family history is awesome!
ps. Look another Dollar! Woot!
