C4AC #2 – A tweet up & good news

Last night was a blogger/twitter meet up for business people in my area and me (ha!). I wasn’t feeling 100% so I wasn’t as social as I normally am. But it was really nice to see a lot of new faces compared to the other events I’ve been to / heard about when it’s the same group of people that always attend.
Since am I a transplant to this area, events like this are nice! Though I wish more dragon boaters would attend so I don’t feel so alone. But I hung out mostly with people I already knew like Rebecca, Raul, Gary, Rainer and a few others but I do say it was still a great event.
Gotta say it is funny when all you see is a crowd of people who all are staring at their gadgets tweeting and not socializing to the person beside them.
As of this morning, I was/am a happy camper err paddler. My doctor gave me the okay to start working out again 
, however I can’t paddle for another two more weeks. I was expecting a month off from the water aka the whole of April and then slowly work up to being in competitive shape once again. EKK!

Would you go to an event of local bloggers/twitters in your area? There is actually a twitter meet up a couple hours away from here soon that, Sarasnee from Lavish will be at. I myself won’t. Simply because it’s a couple hours away and I don’t do well in crowds :/.
How was your day today? My day was icky. I can’t breathe out of my nose
I’ve always kicked around the idea of heading to a tweetup or something like that, but outside of the twitterverse, I’m quite a shy guy. I “almost” went to the Canucks tweetup for the first game, but a work related trip that had me in Calgary ix-nayed that idea.

Aw that looks like fun! I would definitely go to a meetup as long as it was in a public place. I think it would be really fun. My day was lazy and nice. I played a lot of video games.
