C4AC #2 – I’m NOT a Girly Girl

I am so far from being a girly-girl but everyone thinks that I am since I get my nails done. It maybe a expensive way to stop me from biting my nails but I find it works.

Last time I counted I had over 30 bottles of nail polish. It least its not 30 pairs of unworn shoes. lol. Crazy maybe, though how else can you do the reverse french tip nail look? I can’t stand the stander white tip look, so I’ve been doing the white nail polish with whatever colour tip for the last while now. Its unique and its ME!

The lady who does my nails, always asks what colours am I picking this week. She hates that I never wear gloves when I garden or move bricks (at my old job or at home with the backyard reno). I will always be a tomboy and playing in the dirt, I maybe a late blooming girly girl only cause of my boo, my mom thinks I don’t know.

However, I don’t own a lot of shoes (13 in total) and or a hair dryer and my hair down the mid of my back when its wet.

What would you call a girly-girl?
Are you one or a tomboy?

    I don’t think I’m either. I get my nails done usually in the winter because I’m outside enough in the summer that broken nails are a risk, and let’s face it, they hurt when they break.

    I’ve definitely got girlie-girl qualities – I’m a shoe nut, I get my hair done every 4 weeks or so, I paint my toenails, I like romantic comedies and like it when guys give me flowers.

    But I also am an anti-girly-girl in a lot of ways too. I like cars and UFC, I read sci-fi, work in technology and generally don’t get emotional about things. I generally get along much better with men than I do with women, although I’ve got a good group of girlfriends that i adore.

    I’d say I’m a bit of both but neither… with a closet full of great footwear that actually gets worn ;)

    I’d call you a woman myself. I own like three bottles of nail polish from my wedding last year, and two pairs of shoes. I love the nail tip idea. I hardly ever wear fingernail polish, maybe I should start since I do bite my nails. A lot.

    I’m pretty girly, but I just can’t justify doing it most of the time. I always feel like my time or money would be better spent elsewhere. Maybe once I get a real job I’ll have lots of cute bras and fingernails and hair!

    I guess most of my hobbies aren’t too girly. I used to be a tomboy… and I appreciate the girly side of life. I just think my priorities are straight. Like gardening without gloves…

    I am hardly a “girly girl” I do like to get my hair done every once and a while, but I just find it hard to find a good qualified stylist who can do my hair while I continue to wear my glasses!

    I love all your nail polish colours, they look great. I should come over and do my nails. I dont own any anymore. I should head out and get my nails done one of these days. They certainly deserve the special treatment.

    Umm… Well, I like dresses, skirts, headbands (with bows, even!). However, I never paint my nails, hardly ever wear makeup and only exactly 3 pairs of shoes. So not quite sure where I fit, but I’d just consider myself to be a “girl” without the add-on of ‘tom boy’ or ‘girly’, it works for me. :D

    MY nails suck. I used to paint them clear but have since given up. They don’t grow very fast or strong so I usually bite them off cause they’ll break anyway.
