Farewell my feathered friend

Farewell Lemon Thunder, 1991(?) to 2009

I’ve grew up with cats and birds all my life its always hard when a loved pet passes on. Lemon Thunder was our last cockatiel we got (when I was in grade 5) and was the only bird we had for the last 6 years. At a nice age of 18 or so … We are not really sure how old she was when we got her so, I’m going by how long we’ve had her. LT aka The Bird passed away yesterday (Monday) morning. I think the cause was from a mixer of this heatwave and old age.

Bless her soul! It is always hard to wake up one day and realize that a beloved pet/friend is no longer there. I used to have a hamster during my high school years, so I understand the empty feeling. Think about it this way, she had a good life….even if the cats pester her [do they?].

I never knew pet birds live for such a long time…that is new information for me.

By the way, Smore has the loveliest fur coat I have seen.
