Autumn finally began

Happy October everyone,
Not sure about you but autumn finally arrived to Vancouver on Tuesday by having a major rain storm. Thankfully out where I am, I did not see the same amount of rain compared to the people who live/work in the downtown core. The picture below was taken when I went out for my mid day walk, thankfully it wasn’t raining to hard at that point.
With the wacky winter and long heatwave summer that we’ve had, I’m really curious what autumn has planned for us this year. Thankfully I was able to winterize my garden last week before the rain came and made a family classic beef stew with the potatoes and carrots we had in the garden.
I’m looking forward to when the leafs on the trees start turning colours and and falling. But I’m not looking forward to raking up the fallen leafs.

Autumn is alright. School, a friend visiting for 2 weeks before her 3 month travel plans. Photowalks and more! Now it’s October and I am looking forward to the snow season!

Autumn’s gone well so far for me. Haven’t had a chance to photograph the colors because my bf used up all my batteries and my DSLR doesn’t recognize rechargeables. I have to do my Daily Booth updates with the principle of “one snap and that’s IT” because the rechargeable battery dies immediately. Naturally, every time we go to the grocery store, I forget to buy new ones. :P
But I need to get to taking those pics soon because it’s already snowing in Northern Finland! :pump3:
I am so thrilled that it’s autumn — finally. It’s been such a hot summer! Although it’s been raining most of the time here lately.. I am still loving the weather. It’s getting a little colder out side and I love it! All my windows are opened in the house & I can feel this nice cool breeze every once in awhile.
I can’t wait until all the trees start to change colors!

I absolutely love Fall! A time for change… Canucks, snowboarding, still some surfing… and Vancouver looks possibly her most beautiful…

Autumn hasn’t ever been my favourite, but this one is shaping up quite nicely – the resonance of an indian summer, with sunshine still and a crispness in the air.
Autumn arrived here in Virginia a few days ago for me but today it’s more than 80 degrees and the neighborhood dogs are overdressed in fur. Netchick sent me your way.

Out here (Bangalore), this month has been mostly on the cooler side. Rains have come and gone (oops, do I speak too soon? I hear thunder outside!) And after next week the temp will start falling, declaring the arrival of Winter.

That’s a really cool picture of a leaf. In NY you can see the leaves changing too, not that there are that many here.
Autumn has been pretty good for me so far. It’s a reminder that winter is coming though and lord knows how much I hate winter. I get sick often.
I wish I actually had an autumn. Here in Florida we’ve been walking proudly in 94F. Blah, I miss autumn and sweaters.
I’m curious how the rest of the year will be too, weather-wise. I hope winter comes a little earlier though so we have more time to hit the slopes before it gets super busy from the Olympics.
