I think it's more than rude but haven't quite come up with a name for it yet! I won't bitch about young people because I think it's across the board. I seem to get a new set of friends every decade. So being 29 you may need some new friends. Also I've learned not to take anything personally. Both help! Have fun at your party anyway! Enjoy the ones who come. I`m struggling with the same sort of thing for my party coming up as well. At least have the courtesy of replying back `No`... or at the most basic level, just say you are not attending on Facebook instead of not replying at all :) *sigh* Anyway, what I`ve realized over the years is... you learn who your true friends are, and who are the ones you can count on, and you just don`t worry about everyone else :) Totally true.. But I do agree that it is quite rude not to RSVP, especially when someone took the time to make you an invitation. I had a similar problem with my 21st last year, although thankfully most of people who didn't respond were friends of my mother's (who I let her deal with) and one was someone I had a wrong address for, and who didn't reply because they never received the invite (which was my fault for wrongly addressig it). I had a similar incident last summer but I thought I just had different expectations being from a different culture and all that.... What gets me is the fact that it seems that the people leaving you hanging like that are likely the ones complaining that "nothing is going on". Hope you have extra much fun with your friends that do show up and surely look forward to your party. I'm sorry I'm so far away....
