A 5 Day Christmas Fest

Hope everyone had a great time with their families over the holidays. Vancouver had a foggy Christmas this year which was nice because it was not snow however driving around in very thick fog is not fun. But at the same time I would have loved to have made some extra cash shoveling the 30 driveways on my street. 
Christmas is not really my favourite holiday (Halloween is) as everyone is so stressed trying to find the perfect gift but I still enjoy it because its spending time with loved ones. I got a few things I asked for and a new fondue set (from my 2 year old) which will be used on New Years Eve. Because I have a huge family, we ate like there was no tomorrow.
I don’t think I would want to see another holiday fest for a very long time. The 5 day Christmas Fest started off at my Dad’s when my brother and I went over there to see him and his side of the family on the 23rd, Christmas Eve was spent at my best friends, Christmas Day spent at my Moms, Boxing Day was at my Aunts for dinner with the whole family clan and the 27th was at another family members place. Thankfully that day we had Mexican.
For Christmas morning we decided that each family could open presents and do stockings at their own houses instead of bringing everything over and open presents at one location. Once everyone arrived we all sat down to our tradition quiche and this amazing cinnamon bread for breakfast.
One thing with my family is we always try and see who got the best gadget, in the past its been toys or my gramps salt and pepper shaker that had a light on it so you could see where it was going. This year I got a set of salt and pepper shakers that allow you to put them on the fridge.
Everyone left but for my Aunt because her and my Mom where working on the annual nasty christmas puzzle as I was busy cleaning up in the kitchen and made a Veggie Tray, Peanut Brittle and have Prosciutto-Wrapped Mozzarella & Basil as another appetizer (I got the idea from a food magazine) for something to nibble on before dinner.
I was got put in-charge of making dinner that night so I thought about doing something on the BBQ but looked in the freezer and noticed there was a roast so we had roast beef with yorkshire puddings.
For dessert I each person got a After Eight Candy Bar.

Wow quite the feast
Love the salt and pepper gadget 
I’ve been eyeing those Salt ‘n Pepper mills for some time, but Marnie has vetoed any attempt of mine to purchase them. Apparently the Pepper mill we have is suitable and neither of us never really uses the salt from the attached shaker. Boo.
@Chris: I never use salt and pepper when I’m cooking. So I’m kind of surprised that I got them. Though I was looking into getting something for my friends who come over. So now I don’t have to give them fast food packets .. LOL…. I agree with Marnie that if its just you two then you don’t need more then one.
Ooh how festive! Those salt and pepper shakers are so awesome!
