Best and Worst of 2009
I wouldn’t say this was a great year or one of the worse years but just has had a lot of up and downs. I’m not sure about you but I am looking forward to 2010 and spending this new decade in my 30′s. That’s right I will be 30 in 42 days, I’m not really counting (I only know that because of the Olympic count down clock… sorry to say BUT it was a waste of tax payers mola)
January

- Vancouver Snow problem finally melted
- Shoveling peoples driveways – the extra cash and exercise was nice
- My 15th Dragon Boat Season started
February

- Turned 29
- Aidan and I attend Twestival, where I met Rebecca and Raul
- Left work because the crappy hours they were giving and how they ran everything.
March

- Bathroom renos just started
- Went into the hospital (March 29th) after my 3rd gallbladder attack at 3:30AM did not see the doctor till 8AM
April

- April 2nd, I had gallbladder surgery. It was expose to be emergency surgery, but kept getting bumped due to the idiots gang members who kept getting shot at.
- 2nd year of Comment for a Cause raised $186 towards the MS Society of Canada
- Went to a Meet n Tweet
May

- Bathroom Renos finally finished
- Was given the okay to start Dragon Boating again
- Got the idea to put a dragon boat team together of bloggers/twitter user for a charity event
June

- Paddled with Scott’s womens crew when they came up to Vancouver and came home with a medal. Lets just say my team got jealous
- Went to Ideas on Tap (another blogging/twitter meet up)
July

- My boo turned 2
- Attend my 1st Renaissance Festival
- H2O Geeks Dragon Boat team started practicing
- Celebrated my 1st year living in this house
- By accident my brother broke one of my dragon boat paddles
- chopped 8 inchs of hair off
August

- One of my many Cousins got married
- My H2O Geeks Dragon Boat team placed 7th out of 24 teams at Paddle for Kids
- Attend a WordCamp and finally met Tyler
- My Childhood Cocktail (bird) passed away, she was with us for 18 or so years
September

- Last Dragon Boat Festival of the season, came home with a ribbon
- Attend my Moms co-workers wedding as her date
- Got a new camera – Cannon PowerShot SX120 IS
- Purchased a new dragon boat paddle
October

- Went to a Halloween Party at a Hostel
- Annual Movie Night, Halloween Theme, was a busted (barely anyone showed, they lost out on the best fun.. more food for my best friend and I)
November

- Spent 9 days visiting my best friend and her hubby in Indianapolis
- My great Aunt (my late grams younger sister) turned 80
- Finally met Allie and Greg
- Had the housewarming party (18 months late)
- Attend my 1st real hockey game (watching friends play in high school but that does not count)
December

- Annual Movie Night, Dragon Theme
- Was in-charge of Christmas Dinner
- Paddling Club’s Annual Reindeer Paddle – it was a very high tide that day
Hope 2009 was good to you and I hope 2010 will be a better year for all of us.
