For the last while, I just found heading to the gym or even working out at home isn’t doing for it for me anymore.. It just feels like I’m doing the same boring thing over and over again even if I changed something. So after a lot of thought and googling I found a pilates studio that’s about 15 minutes from my house, so tomorrow morning (err in a couple hours) I’ll be taking in my 1st pilates class (signed up for 15 weeks). I’m looking forward to be working out in a different way and not be waiting in line for a treadmill or the weights.
My goal isn’t to have a killer beach body by the summer but to be able to compete the skill tests that you need to do if you want to join the national bobsledding team. The one part of that test I’m NOT looking forward to is the running since I’m not a runner, no matter what if I truly try out for the team or not, I see this as a great cross trainer for my paddling.
What’s driving you to your fitness goal?

Hi, the name is Kimm, I'm a 30 year old Canadian who has been online since 1999. For the last 16 years my main passion has been dragon boating where I've eaten, slept and breathed it and raced all over North America.

My drive to the goal is trying to conceive.
Hopefully I can lose enough weight to make a difference.
oh yeah, pilates sounds like it would be great for you. I have three pilates DVDs, but I don’t really like any of them. I think a class would be much better, but I can’t afford it right now. I’ll stick to yoga :P I really like yoga. I always wake up sore in a new spot and I’m like, oh, I wasn’t even aware I was using those muscles.
What’s driving my fitness goals? Mostly I like to eat and I need to exercise to offset the extra calories, lol. Looking good doesn’t hurt either. Right now I’m doing the 100 pushups challenge. I never thought I would even be able to do 10 pushups like ever, so being able to do so many feels awesome!
I just want to feel healthy again, honestly.
I really should hit the gym, or at least fire up my Wii Fit – but I’m lazy with a capital L. Heck.. there’s probably a capital AZY there too.
I guess my problem is my desire to get active in a social environment. I hate doing things on my own and lack the personal motivation to do things by myself.. but when there’s someone else I’m committed to..well.. lets just say I’d hate it worse to let them down.
