C4AC #3 – Bling

Comment for a Cause (C4AC) is back for it’s 3rd year. C4AC is my way to raises funds & awareness. This year I’ve picked Right to Play as my charity of choice. Today was my clubs / areas 1st regatta of the season.. It was great fun but for the rain, rain and more rain that happened all day. No matter how many changes of clothes you bring or what your always gonna be feeling cold and damp.
I do have to say I’m VERY pleased with the club I paddle with each boat came home with a medal 
… Our most competitive team came home with a bronze in the A Final, our Youth team came home with a silver in the B Final (they were the only youth team there too) and the boat I was paddling on placed took home another bronze in the C Final. Which is freaking awesome with a boat full of newbies and 9 returning paddlers.
Wasn’t pleased when the zipper tag thingie on my pfd broke off (the pfd is 6 years old though) and before the 3rd race of the day one of my contacts popped out, thankfully I had extras in my bag but putting it back in without a mirror not fun.

Sorry about those 2 things going wrong but I’m glad overall it was great!
I hate wearing my contacts due to that. Sometimes they shift, pop out, and can just be a big pain in the ass.

And who needs contacts? Simply cross your eyes until they focus.. or.. well.. I guess.. umm.. yeah. Who am I to say anything? I just need to my glasses to help avoid eye strain due to astigmatism…
