Had something totally different I wanted to write today but after what happened today.. I’m just numb…
Tonight’s Dragon Boat practice went from pretty freakin awesome to freakin scary. I say it was pretty freakin awesome because we had the power and were gliding though the water like our top team in our club and that I moved up in the boat… Tooo bench 3.. which I’m not use to I like the back of the boat cause of the fast water..
Then someone switched a switch and it went into freakin scary! One of my teammates pulled something in his back as we were working on a race piece as we were about 10 minutes out from the dock but we made it there under 4 minutes. Yay US!!!! When we got to the dock him and two of our teammates who have first aid went with him to the walk in clinic but as they were getting there he passed out so now they are in emergency. I hate this feeling of hurry up and wait to find out how he is doing..
Tonight’s practice was prepping us for this Saturdays regatta.
Hope everyone had a better Monday then I did..

Hi, the name is Kimm, I'm a 30 year old Canadian who has been online since 1999. For the last 16 years my main passion has been dragon boating where I've eaten, slept and breathed it and raced all over North America.

Yikes. I hope he is okay.
oh nos, hope he’s OK
I hope everything is alright, at least emergencies out on the water are few and far between. I guess that’s why you were chatting with me about having emergency contact cards with you while your on the boat last night.
Hey Kimm
Thanks for popping over to my site and great to see that you’re so passionate about Dragon Boating, not sure if you read my bio and my 2007 World Record breaking Dragon Boat crossing of the English Channel. I’m sure you’d kick butt at an attempt like that.
Great work on raising money for Right to Play. Fab organization.
Looking forward to keeping up with your pursuits!
Natalie
Oh goodness I hope that he is alright!
Pulled something in his back.. and then passed out later on? Not that I have any idea of what I’m talking about, but I’ve done stuff to my nerves and or suffered pain at such levels that my body skips the whole fight stage and hits flight instead – boom, Chris is out like a light. Unfortunately, my problem is determining that the pain is that bad.. apparently my threshold is too high for my own good.
Anywho, I’m hoping he’s okay…
