My Aunts (well my late grandpa’s sister in law) just celebrated her 99th birthday and she is still with it and still drinks like a fish (well not as much as she use to). I wish I was able to make it to her celebration but I had to work (GRRR!)
She is an amazing lady and to be 99 and now deciding that maybe moving into a senior center is a good thing as she can’t take care of her house like she use to. She will be moving to the best senior center in BC in a few weeks and her eldest son is moving into her place.
Happy Birthday Aunt Evelyn, your just a blink away from those triple digits.
I don’t know if I want to live to be that old, with no one left from her generation alive must be hard.. But I do love listening to the stories that she and all my late relatives have told about their youth and how much the world has changed since they were my age.
I do wonder what would it be like in a 100 years, what silly fashion trend is the new fad, how far has technology taken us, have we walked on Mars yet..
Have you ever wondered what life be would be like in a 100 years?

that’s pretty old. I wouldn’t mind living that long as long as I had family around and I was still all there and relatively healthy. Bryan wants to live forever. I think that’s way too long.
I try not to think that far ahead, but 99 is a good ol’ round number. I definitely miss the stories my grandparents used to share and don’t really have a connection to anyone else in my family from that generation..
*sniff*
99 is pretty awesome !
I was recently talking to someone in the medical biz, and they were talking about the generation AFTER the Baby Boomers, and Doctors believe that life expectancy will get longer.
I’m all for a longer life, as long as we have a good quality of life to go along with it.
Doctors toiled for years to keep my Dad alive, when his body was troubled, and ready to pack it in.
I guess it comes down to everybody wants a long and HAPPY life !!!
