It’s been 6 months since I’ve moved, lets just say meeting people out here is harder then I thought, sure I could always hit up all the pubs around here but I don’t drink.
Thankfully I still got my dragon boat, thought I practice in another town.
The people at work are nice, but I don’t see myself hanging out with them outside of work as they are all either in their in their teens to late teens or have kids my age.
Though, thanks to the net, I’ve been able to met other local bloggers (all thanks to twitter lol) but they are mostly all downtown core folk. The joys of moving away from the city for cheaper rent.

I wrote this post a while back but never got around to posting it as I’ve always got 5 or 6 random posts always on the go [just in case of a writers block or two].. But thanks to Dez for reminding me about this post..
I do find myself sometimes looking at my counter stats at least once a week to do the who’s who and I’m just curious on how people arrive to this site. Here are some of Paddling~Geek.Net’s top searches for this month alone.

Do you check your stats/counter like you check your email?
Are you just curious and use your stats/counter as a way to see who’s all coming to your spot on the web?
Or do you just have a giggle fest with how people find your site?
Happy Tuesday

The other day I was talking to Rebecca who’s running the contest, that I’ve entered. She mentioned there has been already over 4,742 votes :zoned: and there is only 1 day left. If you haven’t please spend a few minutes and vote I’m not expecting to win but some love would be great. lol
It sucks that I’m not able to attend cause of work. It would be nice to finally meet some local bloggers that I talk maybe next function.
I’m hoping to make the cut this up coming dragon boat season, I’ve been wanting to get back onto a team that’s going to Nationals [aka a race off against other high end teams] and who ever wins that will be heading to Worlds a year later and racing for their country. I had my 1st look a World event back in 96 when they came to town. Made it as far as Nationals in 05. Now I’d like to do both Nationals and Worlds before my body gives out on me. Will not know if I make the team until June or so. My plan is starting on Boxing Day (Dec 26) is to start a mega kicking butt myself and get back into better shape. As that saying goes I’m gonna eat, breath and sleep dragon boating for the next while.
