Headaches and colds

Happy Tuesday!

The cold bug came though the household last week and I was really hoping that I was gonna skip it this time around. Boy was I wrong, today is the first day that I’ve been able to get out of bed and spend a good couple of hours online. Though I’m still battling a headache (I only get them when I’m sick) though I’m happy that I don’t sound like there is a frog in my throat each time I cough anymore.

A good cup of tea and cuddles from my cats have made this rainy Tuesday awesome!

Birthday Weekend

Happy Monday!

Since it was my birthday on Friday, I drove over to a tattoo and piercing place and got my long overdue industrial piercing that I’ve wanted for years. Which just stung a little bit when I got it done. Afterwards I met up with an old co-worker who has a birthday on the 11th, so we held over to our favourite sandwich shop that is walking distance to the office for a birthday lunch. That night my family and I headed out for some sushi for dinner. Once we got back home my brother and I were having a few birthday shots.

Saturday was my family dinner with my extend family, we had a roast beef, yorkshire puddings (unhealthy I know.. but soooo good), veggies and a salad and my all time favourite dessert Mocha Mystery Dessert which was has been a family favourite ever since my Grams found it in one of our local newspapers 40+ years ago. After dinner and dessert, the girls (a 4 year old and a 7 year old) and I watched the Princess and the Frog. I’d rather hang out with the girls then listen to adult talk LOL.

Sunday was my day of catching up on a few shows I pvred and of course the Bobsleigh/Skeleton world cup action in Calgary.. Thanks to twitter I was able to keep up to date per day of what was happening results wise, but sometimes I’d rather watch the race then just pay attention to what people are saying on twitter.

My kidlet got me the best present ever! Tulips in my favourite colour (purple) and chocolate.
