My annual road trip has bumped up early this year, instead of heading down for US thanksgiving, I’m heading down next week for 12 days. My best friends family member is failing fast. 
This way I can say my good byes (if they haven’t passed away yet) but mostly I’m gonna be there just for her. As she were there for me when both of my grandfolks passed away back in 2oo6 and the birth of the lil one :flower2:
I’m off to pack for this weekend and for next week.. 
September is here in full swing which means children aren’t out late after dinner playing street hockey or playing hide and seek with friends until it’s dark. Autumn is just around the corner, with homeowners like myself getting the last minute yardwork done before we have to wait until Spring.
This weekend is my teams last festival of the 2oo8 season . It’s sad to know that the season is almost over. But at the same time, I’m looking forward to being able to sleep in on Saturday mornings instead of being at the creek at 9AM. I normally do get a paddling withdrawal which sucks. When I was preggers it sucked even more. But once I was able to paddle again after giving birth I was back into the boat paddling like I hadn’t stopped.
