The Caffeine Cleanse

Over the last two months I have noticed that, I have been drinking a lot more caffeine/sugary drinks then I normally do thanks to some work related stress and with the end of the 2012-paddling season fast approaching. I thought it was a great way to end the season with cutting out caffeinated/sugary drinks before my winter training/paddling season starts October 13.
Saturday (September 1) was my first day going cold turkey, so far it’s going good but I’m sure by the end of the week I’m not gonna really be liking the headaches . The goal is to go 30 days without any caffeine if not longer. Wish me luck.

Once our start eliminating sugars, the cravings really go away. My drink of choice these days is plain water and I can’t take sugary drinks anymore.

I honestly can’t say that I want to give up caffeine. I don’t get a lot of it, just from the occasional cup of tea.
But yeah, sugary drinks are terrible for you, you should definitely cut them out. Good for you

good luck! i know i should do something similar and start being better with what i put into my body in general but… i just have shitty self control. bleh. i don’t really do a whole lot of caffeine, but i have noticed i’ve been drinking more soda than i used to and i’m not really liking that.
